WARREN, Minn. - Grant money is available from the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council. Grants are awarded to nonprofit arts organizations, communities, schools, individuals and other organizations. Applications for these grants are being accepted from the seven-county Minnesota service area that includes Kittson, Marshall, Norman, Pennington, Polk, Red Lake and Roseau counties.

To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years or older. Performing artists, visual artists, media artists and creative writing artists are all welcome to apply. Project grants are awarded to individuals. Grants are awarded annually with $1,500 going to four individuals and $5,000 going to four individuals.

The deadline for the $5,000 individual grants is Oct. 15, while the deadline is Jan. 15 for $1,500 applicants.
