MOORHEAD - Jacqueline Bussie's latest book, "Outlaw Christian: Finding Authentic Faith by Breaking the Rules," has won a gold Illumination Award in the Christian Living category.

Bussie is religion professor and director of The Forum on Faith and Life at Concordia College.

The Illumination Awards are designed to honor new works of authors, which are written and published from a Christian worldview.

This year's 81 Illumination Award medalists went to books from 26 states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Books are awarded in one of 20 categories.

Bussie's book, "Outlaw Christian," addresses the beliefs and myths that surround Christianity such as never getting angry with God, never doubting and never questioning.
