VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Peggy Lee Day will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, at the Valley City State University Performing Arts Center.

The program includes a 7 p.m. concert by Myron Sommerfeld with remarks by Valley City Mayor Dave Carlsrud. A pink ice cream social will follow at 8 p.m., celebrating Lee's favorite color.

The event is free, but organizers request guests bring a non-perishable food item for the Barnes County Food Pantry.

The annual event is held the third Friday each June to kick off Rally in the Valley.
