FARGO — Works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Pierre-August Renoir and more are coming to the Plains Art Museum.
The Fargo institution will open the traveling show, “From Renoir to Kostabi,” on Saturday, Aug. 15. The show, which runs through Oct. 16, picks six artists, also including Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Marcel Moully and contemporary artist Mark Kostabi, to look at some of the biggest art movements over the last 150 years.
The display features 219 prints, original paintings, drawings, and sculptures in the Jane L. Stern and Anna Jane Schlossman Galleries. The show was to travel to the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, but those plans were scrapped due to the coronavirus outbreak.
