FARGO - Residents are invited to weigh in on proposed changes to the city's panhandling ordinance at a public meeting on Wednesday.
The meeting is set for 4:30 p.m. at the City Commission Room in Fargo's City Hall, 200 3rd St. N.
Commissioner Melissa Sobolik requested the meeting earlier this month, after some community members questioned how far Fargo's panhandling restrictions might reach, if revised.
Police Chief Keith Ternes proposed expanding Fargo's panhandling restrictions earlier this summer.
Ternes said his office had received a growing number of complaints from residents who reported the activity along many of Fargo's busiest intersections.
