FARGO — Rapper Prof will headline an Aug. 7 show outdoors at Fargo Brewing Co.

The Minneapolis musician released “Powderhorn Suites” last fall and is scheduled to release a new record, “Tarzan,” on Friday, June 25.

Prof was recently in regional news after a show at the Olmsted County (Minn.) fairgrounds in late July raised criticism in light of some past misogynistic actions that led to him being dropped by his hometown label, Rhymesaysers, last summer. The artist has never been charged with any crimes and has since apologized . The Olmsted County Board has since decided to go forward with the show, which is not part of the fair, but a fundraiser for it.

Tickets for the ID-only Fargo Brewing show, which also includes J. Plaza and Blood $moke Body, are $19 and $45 and go on sale at noon on Friday at jadepresents.com, 866-300-8300, the Tickets300 box office or at Fargo Brewing Co.
