MOORHEAD — Christmas comes early — and late — this year for local theatergoers.

Theatre B announced this week that it has added two more shows to its run of “The Santaland Diaries” due to popular demand.

The a dded performances include a special late staging at 9:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Dec. 16. Previously scheduled shows are set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15, though limited seats remain.

Theatre B’s Executive Director, Carrie Wintersteen, says nine of the first 10 shows sold out, leaving many scrambling for tickets. She also anticipates some ticket holders might want to reschedule as the North Dakota State University Bison football team now plays the FCS semifinal game Friday night.

“The Santaland Diaries” stars J.J. Gordon in a stage adaptation of David Sedaris’ humorous story of the same name.
