FARGO - The Fargo-Moorhead Area Chapter of The Compassionate Friends is sponsoring its sixth annual "Walk to Remember" starting at 10 a.m. today from the main shelter at Oak Grove Park here.

The walk will be followed by a potluck lunch and fellowship.

The local chapter of The Compassionate Friends, which has been in existence for 27 years, gathers every month to talk about the joy children bring and the sadness of a child's death. Group members are parents of children who have died too soon.

Between 80 and 90 people are expected to participate in this year's walk. Walkers will gather at Oak Grove Park about 9:30 a.m. The three-mile round-trip walk will travel a route from Oak Grove Park to the Angel of Hope Statue in Island Park.
