As Minnesota grapples with its own same-sex marriage ballot measure, a play sponsored by Theatre B examines another state's experience. Called "8," the play depicts the constitutional challenge to California's Proposition 8 and is set for 8 pm. on Monday night at the Fargo Theatre, 314 Broadway, Fargo. The reading features several local Theatre B ensemble members, as well as other local actors.
The play is written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lane Black, and debuted on Broadway in last year. Monday's performance is free and open to the public. (701) 238-2174.
