Weekend watch: Fargo Moorhead Symphony Orchestra Masterworks Concert

The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra is so excited about the guest performer for this weekend's Masterworks Concerts, "Passion & Virtuosity," that it has dubbed the month PiaNovember. Alexander Schimpf, winner of the 2011 Cleveland International Piano Competition will be featured on Mozart's "Piano Concerto in C minor," sure to be a highlight of a lineup that also features Elgar's "Allegro for Strings" and Beethoven's "Symphony No. 7." The music starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Festival Concert Hall at NDSU, 1301 12th Ave. N., Fargo. Tickets range from $31 to $63. (701) 478-3676.
