Tonight and Friday
Thomas Hooten, the principal trumpet player with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, teaches master classes this week at North Dakota State University, but he'll also show music fans a thing or two in a pair of public performances.
At 7:30 tonight, he gives a solo recital at Beckwith Recital Hall. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, he takes the stage with the NDSU Wind Symphony at Festival Concert Hall. Tickets for the latter show are $5 for adults, $2 for students and seniors. (701) 231-9564.
