Friday through Monday
Get steamed in Rollag, Minn., this weekend. The annual Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion fires up at 6 a.m. Friday and runs until Monday evening, featuring blasts from farming's past.
In addition to threshers of all classic kinds, this year's expo focuses on International Harvesters, with plenty of big red rigs taking over the grounds. Also check out the newest permanent attraction, the nearly century-old giant Marion-Osgood steam shovel.
Two parades daily, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., are always a draw or just take your time wandering through the past. Admission is $12 a day for those 15 and older and free for those younger. (701) 212-2034.
