Blenders ask fans for "McDonald's Girl" video

Celebrating the new recording of their 2000 hit "McDonald's Girl," the pop vocal group The Blenders are asking fans to make videos for the song.

Fans will determine the top three and an honorable mention. The band will also pick its own top three and an honorable mention.

All four in the "fan faves" and "band faves" will receive prizes. The top vote getter wins $500, the second place gets $400 and third $300. Honorable mention winners get $100 in merchandise.

To participate, download "McDonald's Girl (2011)" from iTunes. Then go to www.theblenders.com and download the contest/cover art to insert at the top of your video. The video must use the song in its entirety.

Upload the finished video on YouTube and add "The Blenders - McDonald's Girl" in the title. Go to the Blenders site, complete the entry form and submit a link to your video on YouTube.

All entries must be submitted by April 1. Winners will be announced on the Blenders site, with fan faves revealed on April 2 and band faves on April 8.
