FARGO - The Fargo Police Department and Nodak Mutual Insurance will sponsor a DNA LifePrint Child Safety Event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Sears wing of West Acres mall.
Event staff will take a digital photograph and biometric fingerprints. Parents and guardians will also receive a take-home DNA kit and a list of safety tips for children.
Organizers will not keep any records of the children participating in the event. The only record kept will be the one parents receive to take home.
The event is free for the first 1,200 children.
