U.S. Bank will sponsor "Joes for GIs" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 14 at the U.S. Bank Plaza in downtown Fargo.
The lunchtime event will recognize local members of the military and raise funds for the bank's "Operation Salute Our Service Members" program, which provides funding for organizations that support military families throughout North Dakota.
Bank employees will serve sloppy joes, chips, soda and ice cream. The event is open to the public and will feature a North Dakota State University ROTC color guard presentation and performances by the 188th Army Band.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the event or in advance at any Fargo-Moorhead U.S. Bank branch.
In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the Fargo Theatre.
