FARGO - A series of concerts in memory of late Fargo-Moorhead guitarist Cody Conner will be held at six downtown Fargo bars on July 8.
Local acts including Sovereign Sect, The Moody River Band, Carmen the Cactus, Inside Out Strings, San Haven Chuckle, O'Fosho, The Fillers, Bad Weather Burlesque, Cat Sank Trio, Toby Beatbox, Dirty Hurlers, Blue Wailers and others will play sets at Dempsey's, The Aquarium, VFW, HoDo Lounge, Sidestreet Grille and Pub and the Pickled Parrot. The music will start at 5 p.m.
There will also be a silent auction set up in the basement of the VFW.
Conner, 30, died on June 6. He played guitar in blues jam bands Moody River Band and in Bad Mojo.
The event is free, but a $5 donation is suggested. Proceeds will go to the family to help offset funeral and medical bills.
