One week of Fargo Star is history and, so far, The Forum's annual singing contest is off to a great start.
The Fargo Star website, fargostar.areavoices.com, saw record traffic as people voted for their favorite singer in the first batch of videos.
As of late Wednesday, the leading vote-getter from our first group was Christopher Ashmore, who sang "Wheel in the Sky."
Ashmore and the other 11 singers have now been taken off the site and replaced with our second batch of Fargo Star hopefuls. Check the site today to see the voting results.
This week's group of 12 includes some classics like "Mack the Knife" and an original tune given a green-light treatment. Here's the group:

Your votes will determine the 10 singers selected to participate in the Fargo Star finals, held April 16 at The Venue at The Hub. We'll release another batch of potential stars next Thursday.
