FARGO - The U.S. Navy Horizon Band will perform downtown on Thursday as part of Fargo Navy Week, which starts today and will run through Sunday.

The performance will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on U.S. Bank Plaza at Second Avenue North and Broadway, which coincides with August Corks & Canvas, an art and wine walk.

Horizon Band is an eight-piece group that performs in the Midwest, headed by Musician 1st Class Lucas Pawloski. The band plays top 40, classic rock, Motown, country, funk and jazz, according to a news release from Downtown Community Partnership of Fargo-Moorhead, a sponsor of the performance.

The performance is free and open to the public.

It's part of Fargo Navy Week, during which naval officers and sailors will meet with business, civic and education leaders in the area as well as participating in local events, engaging local veterans and completing public projects, the release states.
