Saturday and Sunday
After musical trips to Spain and France in its first two performances, the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra whisks listeners off to Austria this weekend. The third installment of the Masterworks Series, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon at NDSU's Festival Concert Hall, features some of classical music's most, well, classic pieces, like Johann Strauss II's unofficial Austrian anthem, "On the Beautiful Danube." Also featured are pieces by Gustav Mahler, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Schubert. This year's Young Artists Solo Competition winner - and symphony member - Patrick Lin will also be featured. The music starts at 8 p.m. Saturday and again at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets for the concert are $25, $28 and $50. (218) 233-8397.
