1The Spirit Room, 111 N. Broadway, Fargo, hosts a pair of singer/songwriter showcases this weekend. Singer/guitarist Drew Nelson returns to the Listening Room series Friday for more songs from his disc "Dusty Road to Beulah Land." The 2009 CD made a number of year-end folk/Americana best-of lists. Michael Whisler opens the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 with all money going to the artists. On Saturday, Fargo singer/guitarist Jack Schauer plays songs from his own new disc, "The Quest," at a CD release party at 7 p.m. Both events are all-ages. (701) 237-0230.
