Friday and Sunday

Want to know why some people hate clowns? Check out the Fargo-Moorhead Opera's "I Pagliacci" this weekend. The central character is ground zero for sad, dark, twisted clowns. We don't want to give anything away, but you don't have to be an opera veteran to realize jealous clown + cheating wife = tragedy. But sometimes despicable acts make for amazing art. See for yourself at 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Festival Concert Hall, North Dakota State University. Tickets range from $35 to $70 with $5 student rush 15 minutes before show time. (701) 239-4558.
