Merrill Piepkorn's voice is known to many in the area as that of North Dakota Public Radio's "Hear It Now." Fans can tune in to a different outlet for Piepkorn's pipes by checking out his band, The Radio Stars. The country and Western band features guitarist Gregg "Smokey" Temple and drummer Joe McBride from Piepkorn's 1970s heyday act, Skunk Hollow. Rounding out the group is Loy Larson on fiddle and mandolin and bassist R.P. Sell. You can catch the country troupe swinging at the Hotel Donaldson Lounge, 101 Broadway, tonight.
