A chili feed, raffle, bake sale and silent auction benefit for Melissa Hansen and her family of Fargo will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Feb. 5 at the El Zagel Shrine, 1429 3rd St. N., Fargo.
Dakota Medical Foundation is a sponsor of the event and will match up to $5,000 of the proceeds.
Hansen has stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized in her bones. She is undergoing a second round of chemotherapy. Proceeds from the event will help the family defray medical and other expenses. A $5 donation will be accepted at the event and online donations may be made through www.dakmed.org/lenda
hand.
