Energy efficiency rebates still available

Cass County Electric Cooperative issued a reminder Thursday that energy efficiency rebates are still available for its members.

There is $1,046,570 still available. Cooperative members have claimed $317,000 in rebates through the program thus far.

Rebates are available for insulation, heating and cooling and water heating equipment.

Individuals can quality for residential rebates up to $5,000. Businesses can apply for rebates up to $15,000.

Qualifying equipment must have been purchased after June 1, 2010.

Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis until Dec. 31 or the funding runs out.
