FARGO - Essentia Health has realigned its emergency care services and now has different zones of patient care based on the level of acuity.
Essentia's urgent care setting has been restructured into primary care medical homes for patients receiving same-day care or walk-in appointments at any of its primary care clinics.
For medical emergencies, patients still should use Essentia's emergency department at its medical center at 3000 32nd Ave. S.
For other urgent care needs, Essentia offers same-day and walk-in care at the following locations:
Family medicine departments at South University, West Acres, West Fargo and Moorhead; adult medicine at South University Clinic; pediatric walk-in care at South University Clinic; and orthopedic and sports medicine as well as women's services walk-in care at the 32nd Avenue Clinic.

Essentia also has expanded hours and days of operation at its West Acres clinic. Extended hours are from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Call (701) 364-6600 to schedule an after-hours or weekend same-day appointment.
