Winner: Hope Lutheran Church

Location: 3636 25th St S, Fargo, ND 58104; 2900 Broadway N, Fargo, ND 58102

What is your reaction to winning?

“My reaction would be that we’re just trying to help people with soul business. If they vote us best place of worship, that’s what we’re trying to do. We help people with their life of God or their soul business, as I like to call it,” said Hope Lutheran Church Senior Pastor Chuck Olmstead.

What makes your place of worship different than others?

“I think we are asked ‘What is God up to in this place?’ and we are responsive to that,” Olmstead said. “In reaching out to the community, we volunteer and try to reach out to folks that don’t have a church home. Everything we do has an outreach component and an invitational focus. We want to help as many people as we can with our soul business — that’s why we exist.”

What types of worship options do you offer?

“We have multiple campuses and offer Wednesday night services along with a full meal deal for our children’s ministry. On Sunday mornings we have three traditional services in the mornings at the North and South campuses. The South campus also has a contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays along with an evening service at the South location,” Olmstead said.

Congrats to the runners-up!
