FARGO — Fargo Public Library is teaming up with Audubon Dakota this weekend to host a “bioblitz.”
Starting at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the main library, 102 Third St. N., participants will help with biological surveying to record as many living species as possible within a designated area. Participants will go through a short welcome and orientation at the library followed by a walk to a nearby site to document birds, insects, plants and other species.
The event is open to people of all ages and skill levels, though kids 9 and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. After the data is collected, participants can stop back at the library for refreshments and a wrap-up session at 4 p.m.
Registration is required in advance by visiting www.fargolibrary.org or calling 701-241-1495.
