MOORHEAD — A four-hour event celebrating multicultural groups’ own languages will take place next weekend at The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum, 521 Main Ave.

The International Mother Language Day event, set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, is being organized by the North Dakota chapter of Distressed Children and Infants International, a nonprofit that raises funds to help distressed children across the globe while also promoting diversity at home.

The Saturday event will include people from many different countries together to showcase their performances in their own languages, according to a news release.

Snacks will be available for purchase during the event, which is free to attend.
