You know, there are many things we see and use all the time that we take for granted.

For instance, think how difficult it would be to travel through a large town which didn’t have traffic lights.

The list of things we’d greatly miss if we didn’t have them goes on and on:

  • Electricity.

  • Indoor plumbing.

  • Glasses.

  • Calendars.

  • Umbrellas.

  • Overshoes.

  • Billfolds.

  • Hammers and other tools.

That’s just a few items.

But don’t forget people.

On this special day, consider all the people whose everyday jobs provide us with services we’d really miss if they weren’t around. But we largely take them for granted, also.

So happy Labor Day, all you workers! And thank you for what you do!
