Today’s topic takes us from North Dakota to Indiana.

It comes from John Postovit, Fargo, who writes, “While in Shipshewana, Ind., I spotted this postcard in a display case at the visitors center.

“It was there among other novelties, and I photographed it because it relates to North Dakota.

“It was sent in 1928 to Chester Bjorngaard in Maxbass, N.D., from the C.R. Gleason Co. in Bottineau, N.D., urging him to upgrade his Ford Model T rather than replace it with a new Ford Model A.

“We’ll never know how the postcard got to Indiana,” John writes, “and likely Chester Bjorngaard and the Gleason Co. are no longer in Maxbass and Bottineau. But I thought it might be interesting to the readers of your articles.”

So here is that old postcard, thanks to John. And maybe there’s someone around who can report on Chester and/or the Gleason Co.
