WEST FARGO— Having a baby can bring a roller coaster of emotions.

West Fargo nana- Kaye Lynn Meyer knows first hand. She's a mom and nana with a passion for caring for kids something she did in more than 20 years of daycare.

She says she had her mom to help when she had her first child - and is able do the same for her three kids today. "Not everyone has that, and that might be my niche," says Meyer.

Kaye Lynn posted about her idea for a Rent-A-Nana on a local babysitting page on Facebook and many loved the idea. People commented saying how much they would love their give kids a nana and asked if she would even help with teenagers.

Thanks to that encouragement, she's launching Rent-A-Nana soon. She is building the business, getting a background check, CPR training and, of course, frequent Covid-19 testing.

Kaye Lynn says offering this service to new parents is especially important now with the added challenges of the pandemic.

She says she will do things like, "hold a colicky baby for a couple of hours while mom gets to read a book, take a walk, have a shower, something that just makes you feel like you again."

She says every mom and her needs are different.

Kaye Lynn says she is still putting packages together, but plans to charge about $25 an hour.
