FARGO — As part of Alzheimer's Awareness Month, several events and presentations have been scheduled in Fargo and West Fargo.
"Effective Communication Strategies" offered by the Alzheimer's Association begins at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the West Fargo Public Library, 109 Third St. E. This presentation will explore how communication changes as Alzheimer's disease and other dementia progress.
Beginning at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, the Alzheimer's Association will offer "Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body: Tips from the Latest Research" at the Crossroads Senior Living Community, 1670 E. Gateway Drive, Fargo. This presentation will provide insight into how to make lifestyle choices that may help individuals keep their brain and body healthy as they age. This event will also be offered at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at North Sky Apartments, 4825 28th Ave., Fargo, and at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Sunrise North Senior Living, 350 26th Ave. N., Fargo.
All of these events are free and open to those affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementia and their caregivers. Registration is not required, but is preferred. Register by calling 1-800-272-3900.
