And it’s challenging to find them in colors other than white, tan or off-white. Luckily, my favorite domestic guru has a simple solution. On her website, Martha Stewart shares that a fitted sheet can be used as a box spring cover. I tried the trick on my king-size bed, and it looks tidy. Yes, you still have to lift the mattress, but it results in a streamlined, modern, fuss-free look that you can tailor to fit your room’s color scheme.
