Auden is the latest jewelry label to take Hollywood by storm with its industrial-meets-tribal-meets-Art Deco pieces, from $148 to $1,800. Auden launched its own online store, where you can browse and buy the entire collection, including the dramatic, shoulder-dusting Rio feather earrings ($148) and feather-trimmed Bode necklace ($388), the Axiom necklace ($358) with cracked crystal globes that look like they are exploding from the inside, and the Deco-ish brass Hayden crystal pendant ($328). You've seen them at the Grammys, on "Gossip Girl" and "The X Factor," and on Rihanna, Blake Lively, Kim Cattrall, Paula Abdul, Kim Kardashian and Shakira. Auden is the latest costume jewelry collection to take Hollywood by storm with its industrial meets tribal meets Art Deco pieces.

Why? For one thing, the line packs quite a style punch for the price ($148 to $1,800). Take the dramatic, shocking pink, shoulder-dusting Rio feather earrings ($148) and the oxidized brass Bode lanyard that wraps around the neck several times with black-and-white feathers dangling at either end ($388). Or the Deco-ish geometric Hayden crystal pendant ($328) and the Axiom necklace ($358) with cracked crystal globes that look like they are exploding from the inside.

"The pieces are bold and modern, but with a vintage flair," says Elyse Walker, who recently bought the line for her boutique in the Pacific Palisades.

Now in its second season, Auden launched in late 2009, after being picked up by New York's Henri Bendel at one of the store's famous Open See events for aspiring designers. The collection is the brainchild of designer Bryce Casteneda, who makes all the pieces by hand in New York, and his business partner Steven Gordon, an L.A. native. (And Auden isn't named after the writer, but rather Gordon's 4-year-old niece.) Rihanna was the first client. Auden racked up $1 million in sales in its first year, according to Gordon.

Auden is available at Henri Bendel in New York, Traffic and Elyse Walker in Los Angeles, and online at www.audendesign.com .
