Lydia Welle, of Moorhead, has been admitted to North Dakota State University “With Distinction.” She will enter NDSU in fall 2020 and plans to major in environmental sciences and sustainability with a minor in visual art. Distinction means that NDSU is acknowledging Welle as an honor student.
Olivia Schempp, an 8th grade student at Liberty Middle School, collaborated with the LMS FCCLA to raise funds for the Great Plains Food Bank.They planned and hosted a school dance, with entry proceeds being raised as a donation for the Bank. A total of $804.76, or the equivalent of 2,782 meals, was raised and will be presented by Olivia to the Great Plains Food Bank at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29.
