Old picture shows Fargo's Broadway in the 1940s

In today's "Neighbors" column, Bob Lind hears from a reader who found a clipping in her father's scrapbook that was published in 1944.

Here’s a picture of Broadway in Fargo from about 77 years ago.

It comes from Karen Murie, Fargo, who says it’s from a newspaper clipping from the scrapbook of her father, Audber Hansen, that his mother put together when he was in the Navy. Karen thinks this picture was published about 1944.

A note on the scrapbook picture says, “I found this picture in Yank magazine. The old city still looks good.”

Audber was from Fingal, N.D.
