FARGO — Do your kids want to know the difference between a nuthatch and chickadee as well as other fascinating bird facts?

The Fargo Public Library is hosting "Birding for Kids with Audubon Dakota" at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Main Library downtown. The event is designed for children ages 7 to 12, and those younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Audubon Dakota staff will share information about birds local to the region, and participants will have the opportunity to walk to nearby sites for some birding. Participants can bring their own binoculars because a limited number will be available for use during the event.

Registration is required and can be completed at www.fargolibrary.org .

The event is weather permitting.
