FARGO — A local organization and its sponsoring partners are again hosting an event next month geared specifically toward new and expecting mothers.

Fargo Mom will host "Bloom: An Event for New and Expecting Moms" at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Sanctuary Events Center , 670 Fourth Ave. N., in Fargo.

The event will again feature two panels — one on mom's health and another on baby's — and the time has been expanded to allow attendees the opportunity to ask more questions of the expert panelists.

"We want ample time for discussion about the important topics moms want to hear about," said Fargo Mom founder and owner Kathy Schommer. "We know how important it is to take care of yourself both mentally and physically after having a baby, and we plan to focus a lot of discussion around this during our mom panel."

In addition to the panelists, Bloom will also offer an interactive photo booth, custom lattes from Thunder Coffee, a mini yoga and meditation session, and more. New vendors for the shopping experience include candles from a local artisan, a potted plant vendor, custom calligraphy for home decor and a custom cookie maker, Schommer said. All vendors and sponsored are listed on the event page.

Last year the event was capped at 50 attendees to comply with CDC guidelines, but thanks to the "low" status of transmission in Cass County, masks are not required and registration has been increased to 100. Women attending the event are still welcome to wear masks if they want to, Schommer said. Tables and seating will still be spaced out and sanitizing stations will be available.

Tickets for the event are $30 and can be purchased online . Breakfast is included, and everyone who attends the event will receive a swag bag of items, a diaper bag and other opportunities throughout the morning.
