The french fry feed was held indoors this year.
Officials from the Potato Bowl USA Committee moved the Simplot Potato Bowl French Fry Feed inside to the Hyslop Sports Center Arena on the UND campus.
Last year, the french fry feed was canceled due to rain for its first time. This year will mark another first as the event is being held indoors, according to a Facebook post by Potato Bowl USA.
“The committee greatly appreciates the cooperation from the University of North Dakota to make this happen on short notice. They are a great partner with the Valley’s potato industry, and this is just another example,” said Ted Kreis, who handles advertising and communications for the event.
