MOORHEAD — A summer farmers market in downtown Fargo is moving across the river to Moorhead for a day to celebrate Giving Hearts Day.

Red River Market announced that it will hold a Winter Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 5 at Moorhead Center Mall, 510 Center Ave.

The event is meant to celebrate Red River Market's participation in Giving Hearts Day, an annual fundraising drive for regional nonprofits set for Feb. 10. Red River Market said in a news release that its goal is to raise $20,000 this Giving Hearts Day to continue programming, including cooking demonstrations, live music, SNAP/EBT outreach and more.

The Winter Market will include live performances by Warren Christensen, Jake Ingamar and ensembles from the Lake Agassiz Concert Band, as well as an expo of other nonprofit organizations and activities for kids and families.
