As the Fargo-Moorhead uncovers from back-to-back blizzards, street crews are working to open major thoroughfares in the metro area.

Other signs the area is getting back to normal are apparent, too.

The West Acres Shopping Center announced it will open at 11 a.m. today.

Courts Plus Fitness Center opened at 9 a.m. and will close at 5 p.m. The Southwest Express, however, will be closed today.

A blizzard warning remains in effect through eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.

The National Weather Service said poor travel conditions will continue this morning but slowly improve this afternoon.

"Blizzard conditions are expected to continue through at least noon over eastern North Dakota, the Red River valley and a part of west central Minnesota," according to the weather service.

Visibility in sheltered areas is about a half-mile to a mile, but is substantially less in open country.

"Light snow will continue in most areas until early afternoon but additional accumulations will be less than an inch," the weather service said in a statement. "Winds will diminsh quickly late today and this evening."
