FARGO - Every year around Thanksgiving, homeowners pull containers of holiday decorations from the deep, dark recesses of their storage closets or garage rafters as they prepare to festoon their homes in the trappings of the season.

For many people, certain holiday keepsakes are more important than others - maybe because of the item's origin story, the memory attached to it, the original owner, or who gave it to you.

Do you have certain holiday keepsakes - a treasured ornament, holiday platter, or Christmas trinket - that you can't imagine celebrating the season without?

If so, we want to hear from you - and we want to see your item, of course!

Snap a photo of your item and send it to danielle.teigen@forumcomm.com with a brief description about why it's important to you. If we can include it in the article, we'll arrange a time to have you stop by and have your photo taken with your item.
