Heidi Long and Grady Dahlberg, Burnsville, Minn., announce their engagement.
Parents are Mary Long, Fargo; and Tara and Gary Dahlberg, Cohasset, Minn.
Heidi graduated in 1999 from Shanley High School, Fargo, and in 2004 graduated from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She graduated in 2008 from Ohio State University, Columbus, with a doctor of optometry degree. She is an optometrist in the Minneapolis area.
Grady graduated in 1998 from Deer River (Minn.) High School and in 2004 graduated from UND with a bachelor's degree in communication. He attended Ohio State University and is an inspector for an engineering firm in the Minneapolis area. He also served with the North Dakota Air National Guard from 1998 to 2004.
A May 21 wedding and reception are planned in Grand Rapids, Minn.
