FARGO — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash just outside of West Fargo on Interstate 94, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

It happened at about 9 p.m. Tuesday night, June 28.

The 36-year-old man was headed west when he lost control of the motorcycle, a 2007 Harley Davidson, and it started to wobble. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and landed in the median, the patrol said.

Emergency crews arrived and gave him medical treatment, but the man died at the scene.

The man was not wearing a helmet, the patrol said. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

Troopers expect to release the motorcyclist's name sometime Thursday evening, June 30.

Westbound I-94 was closed between West Fargo and Mapleton for more than an hour Tuesday night, as troopers investigated the crash.
