Emily Sturn Joins Chrysalis Behavioral Health Services

Emily is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, who provides treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Emily earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Dakota State University (2015). She is currently working on a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from North Dakota State University. She is credentialed by the National Board for Certified Counselors and licensed by the North Dakota Board of Counselor Examiners.

Emily specializes in creative counseling approaches and works with individuals, families, and couples using a trauma-informed and attachment-based perspective. She has a special interest in relationships, including parent/child relationships and couples counseling, as well as infertility and struggles related to pregnancy. After obtaining her Master’s degree, Emily lived and worked in Montana for 2 years where she gained experience with children ages 0-6 and their families. During this time, she received training in parent/child interactions, as well as prenatal, perinatal, and post-partum issues. Her doctoral studies are preparing her to be a supervisor and educator, which she would like to incorporate in the future. Emily is passionate about providing person-centered, relational, and creative interventions and is excited to join the team at Chrysalis. She will be available to work with individuals, families, and couples across the lifespan.
