A trooper tried to stop a driver in a Honda CR-V for multiple violations, but the driver took off.

The trooper gave chase but called off the pursuit when they reached the intersection of Highways 10 and 75.

That's when the driver involved in the chase crashed into a car at the intersection of Highway 10 and 14th Street.

The driver of the Honda tried to run from the crash, but officers quickly made the arrest.

Authorities have not released the name of that driver, but say he or she is now in the Clay County Jail.

The driver who was rear-ended was taken to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with non-life threatening injuries.
