MOORHEAD — A Dilworth, Minn., man has been accused of stealing a vehicle and leading law enforcement on a chase early Monday morning, Feb. 1, through Moorhead.
Juan Antonio Medina, 28, appeared Tuesday in Clay County District Court on a felony charge of theft, a felony count of fleeing officers and a misdemeanor charge of fleeing authorities. According to court documents:
A Minnesota State Patrol trooper spotted a dark car driving at high speed around 12:15 a.m. Monday as it headed south on Eighth Street South at Interstate 94. The street is also known as U.S. Highway 75 and is the first exit after drivers cross into Minnesota from Fargo on I-94.
The vehicle turned east onto 30th Avenue South before going south on 14th Street South. At one point, it hit 95 mph, the trooper said. The driver also avoided a tire-deflation device set up by the Moorhead Police Department but spun out of control at 34th Avenue South.
Two individuals fled from the vehicle and ran into a residence at 3311 20th St. S., where they were arrested. One was identified as Medina, according to court documents.

The other suspect denied being the driver, court documents said. A third person was arrested on an apparently unrelated warrant, but only Medina had been charged as of Tuesday afternoon.
