MOORHEAD — Minnesota State University Moorhead will host its 21st annual Andrew B. Conteh Student Academic Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in the Comstock Memorial Union.

The conference is a showcase of scientific research conducted by students and will include more than 270 presentations on topics, ranging from tracking gaze patterns in children for earlier detection of autism spectrum disorders, to sanctuary cities and their effect on crime rates.

The conference will feature more than 380 graduate and undergraduate students representing 17 academic and service departments, as well as 17 local employers to network with students and introduce available internship and job opportunities.

MSUM alumnus Eric Eager, a senior data scientist with Pro Football Focus, will be the keynote speaker.
