MAN FACING CHARGES AFTER DRUNKENLY ROLLING CAR WITH KID INSIDE
This morning, a Fargo father will stand before a judge for drunk driving charges, after he rolled a car with his 2-year-old inside.
Police say 27-year old Trent Klingman's blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit for driving. He's also facing an aggravated reckless endangerment charge. Police said Klingman lost control of his car while speeding on Rose Creek Parkway and rolled. Neither he nor his child were injured.
FIRE CREWS TRYING TO DETERMINE WHAT STARTED WEST FARGO BARN FIRE
Fire crews in West Fargo aren't getting much sleep.
They're back out this morning, now looking for the cause of a fire that they put out last night in West Fargo. Our WDAY team was out there last night on 2nd St. E. No one was inside the barn when it happened. West Fargo Fire Chief Dan Fuller said they were called to the scene just before 9:00 last night. He said it was a stubborn fire. Because it's an old building, with several wooden parts, crews had to use axes and chainsaws to get into certain areas. Fuller said Horace, West Fargo Rural, and Mapleton fire departments had to come help out, because there weren't any hydrants in the area. Crews had to haul in 8,000 gallons of water. We'll keep you updated as this story develops.
FARMERS HOPE FOR NEW TRADE DEAL AFTER PENCE VISIT
Farmers in rural Minnesota are hopeful for a new trade deal with China this morning, after visiting with Vice President Mike Pence.
Pence visited R&J Farms, north of Highway 10 near Glyndon. The vice-president took about a half-hour to meet with farmers representing dairy, soybeans, corn, grain, and sugar beets. Trade and tariffs were big on the "conversation list." Vice President Pence said, once Congress approves the agreed upon deal with Mexico and Canada, the focus can be turned to China.
