FARGO — The 24th annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day Ceremony was held at the American Legion Memorial Fountain in Fargo's Lindenwood Park Wednesday, May 15.

Law enforcement agencies from across the Fargo-Moorhead area and their families attended to honor fallen officers.

A 21 gun salute was performed and a bell tolled 163 times to recognize the 163 officers killed nationwide in 2018. A flag was also raised for reach officer who died.

"The community of Fargo obviously rallies behind us when we go through tough times, so we want to thank them and we'd like to thank the officers that last year gave their lives in the line of duty," said Fargo Police Department Sgt. Travis Moser.
